“Prayatna – Children Leading Change” is a collaborative initiative by Maiti Nepal, CWIN-Nepal, and Terre des hommes (Tdh) to combat child exploitation in Sindhupalchowk and Jhapa District, Nepal. Rooted in child and youth leadership, the project integrates protection services, advocacy for gender justice, and empowerment approaches to foster safe and resilient communities, especially in areas highly vulnerable to trafficking and climate impacts.
Major Objectives:
- Strengthen Government Systems to effectively combat child exploitation.
- Empower Children and Youth to lead change through participation and protection-centered initiatives.
- Provide Comprehensive Support including mental health, legal aid, and vocational training to at-risk and survivor children and youth.
- Advance Policy Advocacy to reform and implement child protection laws and ensure accountability.
