MAITI NEPAL'S

Human Trafficking Prevention Program

Funded by: Bono Aid Direct and Chance Swiss, Switzerland

The Human Trafficking Prevention Program, supported by Bono Aid Direct and Chance Swiss, Switzerland, is a critical initiative to combat human trafficking in Kathmandu, Makwanpur, and Rasuwa districts. This project provides comprehensive rehabilitation services, including shelter, food, healthcare, psychosocial counseling, and legal aid for survivors of trafficking and gender-based violence.

In addition to rescue operations at the internal, cross-border, and international levels, the program focuses on long-term reintegration through leadership and livelihood training, family reunification, and skills development such as food and beverage training. Awareness campaigns, stakeholder engagement, and capacity-building initiatives further strengthen efforts to prevent trafficking and unsafe migration.

By addressing the root causes of trafficking and providing holistic support to survivors, this initiative aims to create a safer and more resilient environment for vulnerable women and children in these districts.
