Charles Darwin University supports Maiti Nepal, fostering cultural exchange and education for
the empowerment of survivors and orphaned children.
Maiti Nepal and Charles Darwin University (CDU) of Australia teamed up to create a better future for
survivors and orphans in Maiti Nepal. CDU supported Maiti Nepal in providing opportunities and better
education for women and children facing limited options. This collaboration aimed to empower them
with vocational training like tailoring, beauty parlor, and computer courses, fostering independence and
stability. CDU also extended support for the education of undergraduate and postgraduate children.
Notably, CDU granted full scholarships for two Maiti Nepal beneficiaries pursuing master’s degrees in
Australia. This initiative facilitates cultural exchange and knowledge-sharing, enriching the lives of Maiti
Nepal’s children and contributing to the organization’s goals. The CDU-Sponsorship Project strives to
cultivate future employees and students dedicated to Maiti Nepal’s cause, setting a positive example
for all children involved.

In 2023, we partnered with Charles Darwin University (CDU) from Australia to create brighter futures for survivors and orphaned children at Maiti Nepal. CDU’s support has opened doors to better educational and vocational opportunities for women and children facing limited options. Through this partnership, we’ve empowered individuals with skills in tailoring, beauty parlors, food and beverages, and computer courses, fostering independence and stability.
CDU also supported higher education, granting full scholarships to two of our beneficiaries pursuing master’s degrees in Australia and five of our beneficiaries to pursue higher education per year in Nepal. This initiative promotes cultural exchange and knowledge sharing, enriching the lives of our children and aligning with Maiti Nepal’s mission to empower survivors. The CDU Sponsorship Project aims to develop future leaders who are committed to Maiti Nepal’s cause, setting a strong example for others.
