Operation Locations: Sunsari, Kavre, Ilam, and Kathmandu
This year-long initiative aims to prevent and combat human trafficking through awareness, protection, and empowerment of vulnerable groups, especially women and children. Activities include community sensitization, legal aid, shelter support, and psychosocial counseling.
Major Objectives:
- Operate a Transit Home in Ilam, Pashupatinagar, to provide direct support and therapeutic services for children and women who have been rescued or prevented from trafficking.
- Empower Vulnerable Girls by offering empowerment training at the Maiti Rehabilitation Home in Itahari, Sunsari.
- Provide Comprehensive Care in Kathmandu, Gaushala, for survivors of trafficking, rape, and gender-based violence, including their newborn babies, who face stigma and discrimination from their communities.
- Prevent Trafficking by ensuring at-risk individuals have access to vital information through the Information and Surveillance Centers (Safe Migration Centers) located in Kavre – Kavrepalanchok, Dhulikhel.
